NEW SINGLE : London Five-Piece FAERS Return With Rousing New Single ‘Alive’

FAERS – ‘Alive’

(Released April 1st 2022)

“There are shades of Maccabees, Bombay Bicycle Club and The Twang all in the mix here. Indie pop you can dance to.” – Fred Perry Subculture “

”Exultant and infectious with plenty of sonic flourishes, plus it has a bridge that’s just waiting to be played at an indie night near you.” – CLASH Magazine

FAERS are a London-based five-piece who formed in their hometown, Uxbridge in 2015. They met through their local scene, centred around the Yuck Indie Club Night run by Steven, and bonded over their shared passion for music

‘Alive’ offers a glimpse at the energising and rejuvenating healing process of being on the dancefloor. The track gives an alternate take on the ‘big night out’ from ‘Rome’, the first track to be released from their new EP ‘Late Nights’, which tells the tale of someone who has gone too far down a path of excess.

The two releases act as the centrepiece for the band’s new EP, which explores the highs, lows, troubles and affections of late nights out in the city.

FAERS are now embracing the electronic side of their sound palette and are working with new management as well as long time producer & friend, Michael Smith (Wolf Alice, Weird Milk) to prepare a string of new tracks for release in 2021. FAERS previous releases have found support from new music stalwarts John Kennedy at Radio X and Gary Crowley at BBC Introducing. As well as high praise from CLASH Magazine, Gigslutz and Fred Perry Subculture.

Written during lockdown, ‘Alive’ is the band’s most recent single, and the track’s introspective verses reflect on the isolation of being apart from friends and loved ones, while it’s choruses embrace the celebratory feeling of being reunited and ‘free for tonight’.
