Rest in peace, Mike. Our heartfelt prayers and deepest condolences go out to Jules and the boys, as well as to the Peters and Jones families, during this profoundly sorrowful time. Over the years, we have closely followed Mike’s remarkable journey, from his passionate work with The Alarm and The Poets of Justice to the countless miles travelled on his solo tours across the country. As the news of his passing broke this morning, I was overwhelmed with memories of those intimate, dimly lit venues in towns I’d never even heard of, where Mike’s solo performances resonated with such authenticity and emotion. The music of Mike and The Alarm will forever echo in our hearts and souls. It’s incredibly tragic that Mike has lost his brave battle of 30 years. It still feels surreal… This journey began years ago with a fanzine dedicated to Mike Peters and The Alarm, under the banner of Scotland Calling, evolving into what we now cherish as Scottish Music Network. Today is undeniably a sad day… The music world has lost one of its true greats—a remarkable inspiration, a true gentleman, and a friend to all who had the privilege of knowing him…
