After two years away from the spotlight, global superstar Lewis Capaldi is well and truly back as he caps his return by topping the charts yet again with a monumental sixth number 1 single ‘Survive’, to become the fastest selling single of 2025.

Today’s success also sees Lewis’s biggest ever opening week sales for a single, surpassing both Sabrina Carpenter & Lady Gaga for this year’s biggest opening week singles, and he now joins esteemed company with the likes of Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Drake, Lady Gaga & Queen to achieve six UK number 1 singles, beating David Bowie, Katy Perry, The Police & more.

Lewis may be back in the charts with his new single, but has also been back in the headlines after his surprise and magnificent return to Glastonbury Festival and, this September, back on tour in arenas across the UK – which has seen unprecedented pre-sale demand already..

A headliner-sized Pyramid Stage crowd embraced the emotion of Lewis’s emergence into the sunshine for a powerful, hit-laden half-hour. “I just wanted to come and finish what I couldn’t finish last time,” said Lewis. That he emphatically did, with his soaring vocals leading the crowd through classics, as well as a first live showing for Survive, and a unifying performance of Someone You Loved. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

Lewis Capaldi’s second album, Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent, cemented his status as a chart-topping powerhouse. The record delivered three UK number 1 singles – ‘‘Pointless’, ‘Wish You The Best and the Platinum-certified ‘Forget Me’, Critically acclaimed, the album topped the UK charts, moving 95,000 units in its first week, outselling the entire Top 10 combined and even surpassing the debut-week sales of his debut album Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent.

In April 2023, Capaldi released his raw and deeply personal Netflix documentary, How I’m Feeling Now, which quickly became the platform’s most-watched film upon release and earned a GRAMMY® nomination. This continued success follows his groundbreaking 2019 debut, Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent, which became the UK’s top-selling album in both 2019 and 2020. The album produced two UK number 1 singles, garnered multiple BRIT Awards, and included the global smash ‘Someone You Loved’, now 10x Platinum, the UK’s most streamed song of all time & the world’s fourth highest ever streamed song.

After weathering the kind of storm that few can prepare for, Lewis Capaldi has returned with a renewed sense of purpose. As he marks a new era, Lewis isn’t just surviving, he’s returning even stronger, heart wide open, and ready to step out again.
