CONCERT REVIEW : KANE BROWN, OVO HYDRO, GLASGOW, SCOTLAND UK, 5TH OCTOBER 2025

Kane Browns’ long-awaited High Road Tour landed in Glasgow last night with special guests Dylan Schneider and Dasha, and let me tell you – it exceeded every single expectation.

First things first, I have to say, Kane Brown fans LOVE merch?! The entire venue sold out before Dasha had even come on stage – great to see, but also gutted I didn’t get to see myself.

But first up was Dylan Schneider – this man’s energy and excitement to be on stage is something I wanna bottle up. This guy is just so thankful to be on stage, and being an opener is no easy feat, but he smashed it!

Bad Decisions is a track of his I’ve had on my playlist since it dropped last year, and hearing it live – pitch-perfect. His voice is sheer perfection.  Chatting with the crowd and sharing the backstories of his tracks, Dylan treated us to Morgan Wallen and Garth Brooks covers, as well as a beautiful rendition of his own song, Daddy Drinks Whisky. I’m hoping C2C takes note of Dylan and gets him back over the pond as soon as possible. He works a crowd well and sets us all up for a night of good ol’ country music. Obsessed.

Next up was Dasha. I’ll be honest, I hadn’t listened to much of Dasha before the show until driving in, and I heard a few of the tracks she’s dropped in the lead up to her album, which is to be released this coming Friday and honestly, wow. How did I not realise she had a set of vocals like this? Don’t get me wrong, Austin is the song the majority of people this side of the pond first came across Dasha through, but kicking off the show with Not at This Party had the energy sky high from the get-go.

Work On Me, Bye Bye Bye, Way too Drunk, and an UNREAL cover of Gretchen Wilson’s Here For The Party had us all blown away. I don’t think it’ll be long before we see a headline Dasha show here in Glasgow because, oh my goodness, she was phenomenal. We have well and truly been welcomed into Dashville.

The man of the night, Mr Kane Brown, wasn’t too far behind launching onto a metal structure to open the show with I Am. I’ll be honest, during this show, I wondered if Kane was ok; the energy felt a little flat. But it wasn’t long before vibes were lifted and his whole band (including a guitarist in a kilt, which we loved) was delivering a stellar performance.

Now, I’ll be honest, I’m a big Kane Brown fan. When I first got into country, What If was one of the first songs I added to my playlist, so I’ve been here as a fan for a long time, but after seeing him at C2C last year I wasn’t sure how a headline slot would go. But my oh my, dare I say his vocals have got EVEN BETTER?

I Can Feel it and Fiddle in the Band, which Kane revealed is his favourite to play live, had the whole arena jumping – despite the whole venue being seated, nobody stayed down, it was a real Sunday night party.

Like I Love Country Music and Lose It saw the introduction of pyro and an enhanced light show; this was so much more than a concert, but an entire production. Kane took a seat for the next track, Homesick, which highlighted his incredible vocal range – the raw emotion you hear in those lyrics filled the Hydro, and we were locked in from start to finish.

Throughout the show, Kane would chat through various songs, and what he was up to in the UK – even revealing he’d taken a trip to St Andrews the day before (Justin Bieber was there too – what is it with worldwide stars and Scotland this weekend?!)

What I did enjoy, though, was Kane talking about the origin of certain tracks. Backseat Driver is one of the most personal tracks Kane has performed, and it wasn’t until he said last night that it was written by Jake Davis, Jordan Davis’ brother, which makes a lot of sense when you hear the lyrics.

One Mississippi had me teary-eyed; that track just hits every time. Famous Friends, which Kane famously sings with Chris Young, took a nice spin when Dylan Schneider and Dasha rejoined the stage to take on his verses. Dare I say, I enjoy this version more than Chris’s?!

There’s one thing about Kane Brown that is abundantly clear by his lyrics and personality: he’s a family man. Being away from home, Kane admitted he misses his family and FaceTimed them mid-show, introducing the kids to the crowd and getting his wife, Katlyn Brown, to kickstart the crowd singing Thank God. It was a really wholesome moment; we made the right guy famous.

Bury Me In Georgia and a slower cover of One Thing Right closed the show before wrapping up with Miles on It. Honestly, Kane’s voice has gotten even better. This wasn’t just a country concert; it was a whole production show, and I loved every single second of it. Praying we see all 3 acts back over here soon.
