“VIRTUES”

THE DEBUT SOLO SINGLE – OUT FOR U.S. ELECTION DAY

Virtues are dead.

Maybe a part of me is dead too.

For my debut solo release I wanted to do everything wrong. I needed space to feel free to explore.

“Virtues” was written in an empty mansion out in the desert where we were living during the onset of quarantine. I felt so hollow those initial days of quarantine, just cold. I had lost so much – almost my entire life.

That desperation led me down a path where I began to wonder about my own insecurities, my own personal failings and shortcomings. “Virtues” is a self-reflection of how this world has become void of the basic virtues that are the core foundation of humanity.

No label push, no shrinkwrap – just self-released with no marketing budget via the most oversaturated media with a little personal grit.

The honest truth is, I am tired of musicians being pushed around while the politicians are on the front of Rolling Stone.

One half of acclaimed Brooklyn, NY husband & wife pop duo The Bergamot, Nathaniel is also currently busy co-producing ‘State of the Unity’, a full-length documentary set for release in 2021.

Shot throughout the band’s epic 2016 journey, where they spent the year travelling 50,000 miles across 50 states, the film documents one of the most vicious elections America has ever witnessed as it sowed discord and discontent throughout an increasingly divided nation.

What the duo experienced and found along the way changed their lives forever.
