Following the release of their rip-roaring new single ‘Belicoso’, CALVA LOUISE are pleased to announce a string of Winter dates.

With a summer of scorching live sets at major festivals the likes of Boomtown Fair and Kendal Calling under their belts, the Manchester based trio will be letting-loose the spoils of their hotly anticipated upcoming EP ‘Interlude For The Borderline Unsettled’ at 4 UK headline shows in December as follows:

Out just a matter of weeks, new track ‘Belicoso’ has already been taking the airwaves by storm. Their first release since their critically acclaimed debut album ‘Rhinoceros’ back in February, the track has notched up plays across Radio X and BBC Radio 1, with Jack Saunders exclaiming recently: “I mean you’ve just got to stand here and applaud it to be honest with you, the meetings of minds between Calva Louise and Tarek Musa….(they) have created an absolute monster in the form of Belicoso!”

Blending English and Spanish, ‘Belicoso’ marks a thrilling and experimental new direction for the band, with the track produced and mixed by Tarek Musa (Spring King, Dead Nature). Speaking about the track Jess Allanic says:

“We can take ‘Belicoso’ with a touch of humour, because in Spanish it roughly translates to ‘Lairy’. In the society we live in nowadays, we realise that our journey will always be challenging, and a mundane life can feel like a perpetual battle! Sometimes trying to find peace can become overwhelming, and as everything that we bottle up inside needs a cathartic outlet, instead of taking it with indignation and frustration, we try to use that accumulated energy to stop fuelling a vicious cycle that never seems to end.”

Calva Louise’s ‘Belicoso’ is out now.

New EP ‘Interlude For The Borderline Unsettled’, will be released via Ditto Music this Autumn via all digital platforms.
