LNFG announce headline gig at Stereo
Following the recent release of album Sweet Illusions, Peter Capaldi and Last Night From Glasgow announce a headline Glasgow gig in an exclusive article from The Herald. Peter Capaldi will play Stereo in Glasgow on Wednesday 30 July 2025. The gig is his first public headline slot in over 40 years, and will be hosted in the intimate 300 capacity city center venue. Peter Capaldi returned to the stage in November 2024 in a private gig at the same venue, and is now bringing the tracks to his fans.
Managing Director of LNFG Ian Smith said: “We’re delighted to bring this event to a small local venue where fans can get up close and personal with Peter and the band. We could have sold more tickets at a bigger venue, but we wanted to keep it intimate and allow people to experience it in a place like Stereo.”
Sweet Illusions is available on vinyl, CD and digital by Last Night From Glasgow. Produced by Dr Robert of The Blow Monkeys, Sweet Illusions sparkles with nostalgia, melancholy and wit. The sound of Sweet Illusions nods to Glasgow’s thriving late 80s music scene, where Peter got his start in music. The initial red, white and black vinyl pressings officially sold out during pre-order. A new midnight blue variant is now available.
