THE HARA have swapped the theatrics, glitz & glamour for stripped back honesty in their second release of 2021, Afterlife. Mellow guitar chords and exposed vocals start the single, soon building with a fiery passion into the desperate cries of “help me” in the chorus. THE HARA have redefined the classic rock ballad with their genre-defying sound, raw vocals, and introspective lyrics as the demons celebrated in their previous single, Black Soul Ceremony, have become a story of inner battles in the Afterlife.
On Afterlife Josh Taylor (lead singer) says “Afterlife is us in our rawest state as a band, a reminder that we are just like you and we all go through hardships as small as they may seem, and they are f**king important because despite everything, we are all just human beings trying to survive and we all deserve to feel without judgement.”
THE HARA, an alternative/rock band comprising of Josh Taylor (Frontman), Zack Breen (Guitar) and Jack Kennedy (Drums) stormed their way through the iTunes Album charts with their 2020 releases. Latest EP’s ‘Play Dead’ hit #1 across All Genres and ‘We Are The Movement’ hit #1 in the Rock Charts and #2 across All Genres. With an album worth of songs released in 2020 THE HARA were expected to perform to more than 250k people across their largest headline tour and summer festival appearances including Download, Reading & Leeds, TRNSMT and more. Instead, 2021 will see their return to live music with their packed-out UK wide Play Dead Tour, many anticipated festival performances and more new releases, Afterlife being the second track from THE HARA to be released in 2021, following the success of #1 iTunes Rock Single, Black Soul Ceremony.
