Irvine’s own 19-year-old singer and songwriter Abbie Gordon releases her debut single Out of Wine today, Friday 20th February, through independent label Manifest Records. Recorded with The Nocturns (Tom Grennan, Calum Scott), Out Of Wine is about going out with someone, really liking them but having that gut feeling that they’re not that into you. And then finding out that you were right!

With her glistening vocals and whip-smart lyricism, Abbie turns her generation’s complex toils into a real-time diary of growing up disgracefully. Through her signature knockout one-liners and anthemic melody lines, Abbie documents her feelings and mis-steps, learning (or not) as she goes. Her cool-girl fables, defy the crossed-stars of teenage situationships, calling out the b.s. with each chunky-booted step. Her sweet and salty blend of indie-leaning pop poise and lovelorn wit shines alongside the inspirational songcraft of Roan and Rodrigo.

Live, Abbie has paid dues opening for fast-rising contemporaries like Kerr Mercer on tour and Calum Bowie at the Barrowland Ballroom, with headline shows at Glasgow’s Poetry Club and King Tut’s increasing the buzz, on the strength of social media snippets alone. 2026 will be a breakout year as we see her debut music finally launched to a growing fanbase already anticipating something very special.

Abbie plays her next headline show at Glasgow’s King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut on Thursday April 2nd. Tickets are on sale now at:
