Otherlands Music & Arts Festival continues with a euphoric headline set from Jamie xx

Today, the inaugural edition of Otherlands Music & Arts Festival continued its exploration of culture, deep in mother nature. Nestled within the leafy grounds of Scone Palace in Perthshire, the boutique camping event is more than just a music festival, boasting a whole range of comedy, cutting edge art, industry panels, DJ workshops, wellness activities and more.

One of the most sought after DJ & producers in electronic music and one third of the Mercury Prize-winning trio, The xx:  Jamie xx set the night alight with his technicoloured DJ set on the Frissonia stage. The festival’s main stage also saw a gorgeous sunset moment from Glasgow’s own champion of soul-pop Joesef, as well as sets from 2022’s BBC Introducing winner Lewis McLaughlin – fresh from his set at Glastonbury, Dundee’s Be Charlotte, boundary-pushing singer, songwriter and producer Alewya and more.

Over on the Sub Club-hosted Portal stage, Fabric London resident Ricardo Villalobos played a killer set while rising local star Hayley Zalassi closed  the stage. One of the most hotly-tipped artists to emerge from Scotland in recent years, TAAHLIAH, brought the rave to the Sonare stage, hosted by BBC Introducing Scotland, with a signature high-calibre show. She was joined by a whole host of sensational homegrown acts, including Glaswegian glam-pop heroes Walt Disco, post-punk evangelists VLURE, Aberdonian R&B star Aiitee, rising rap star Chef and more.

Saturday also saw the launch of the Pavilion Stage which featured comedy from Double Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Andrew Maxwell, as well as industry talks, tarot readings and beginner DJ workshops with Birmingham-based collective Selextorhood. Guests were also offered the chance to take a break with a range of wellness activities including yoga, meditation and breathwork.

Tomorrow, Otherlands comes to a momentous close as Bicep bring their mesmerising live show to Scone Palace. Meanwhile, international hero of house Honey Dijon will shut down the Portal Stage, with other acts including Maverick Sabre, Biig Piig and so many more
