A beautiful evening descends upon the city as Glasgow eagerly anticipates the arrival of Kingfishr for the first of two sold-out nights at the venue. The air is crisp, the streets resonate with excitement, and an undeniable aura surrounds the prospect of an extraordinary night ahead.
The band is no stranger to this stage, having previously graced it and built a devoted following among Glasgow’s passionate music aficionados. Their familiarity with the venue, coupled with the warm embrace they’ve come to expect from Scottish audiences, only amplifies the thrill surrounding tonight’s performance.
This evening marks the first of two completely sold-out shows, a testament to the band’s soaring popularity and the profound bond they have forged with their fans. Tickets for both nights vanished within moments, leaving many hopeful concertgoers crestfallen but resolute to catch them on their next tour.

Opening the evening is the remarkable Charlie Noordewier, all the way from Devon, ready to set the pace and ignite the energy for what promises to be an unforgettable experience.
As the lights dimmed, all eyes turned to Charlie Noordewier, acoustic guitar in hand. His music echoed with a distinct Southern rock vibe, intensifying as his band joined him onstage, the deep resonance of an upright double bass adding depth to their sound. Together, they wove a captivating song that truly resonated with the Glasgow audience. Although it was our first encounter with Charlie live, he indelibly marked our memory and the hearts of everyone present. He is an artist well worth discovering, and we will certainly be tracking his future shows in and around the city.
As he exited the stage, the Glasgow crowd erupted into a tremendous ovation; the expressions on Charlie and his band’s faces conveyed their genuine enjoyment of the brief but impactful set.
The moment had arrived to welcome the Limerick band to the stage for the kickoff of their Halcyon tour. Excitement surged through the air as the intro music surged, heralding the band’s entrance. The crowd caught their first glimpse of Eoghan McGrath and Eoin Fitzgiddon, anticipation building until Eddie Keoghan stepped forward, hand raised in greeting, igniting a wave of delight among the Glasgow audience.
The set burst to life with the electrifying “Shadow,” igniting the crowd as fans bounced and sang along, Glasgow’s vibrant energy reflecting in the band’s beaming faces. Eddie greeted the audience with a heartfelt “How are you doing, Glasgow?” as the band dove into “Hold Me Down” and the standout “21,” a track that resonated deeply with the enthusiastic younger fans in the front rows, gazing up at their idols. The band’s harmonies and commanding presence were utterly captivating, making the performance an absolute joy to behold.
Some early highlights included the brilliant “Shot In The Dark” and the new song “How Lonely,” which blended seamlessly with the band’s well-established repertoire while asserting its uniqueness. Glasgow was in full voice, passionately singing along to “Gloria” before Eddie introduced another new track, “The Sun Will Never Settle.” This fresh addition brought a unique vibe to the band’s sound – distinct yet undeniably catchy. Its potential was already apparent despite being heard live for the first time, promising to become even more compelling with repeated listens.
It was time for some of the band’s biggest hits to elevate the atmosphere; these included “Eyes Don’t Lie” and the fan-favorite “Killeagh,” before they closed the set with the brilliant “Anyway,” leaving the stage to thunderous applause.
They returned to the stage shortly after, electrifying the venue with a stunning rendition of “Man On The Moon,” which had the Glasgow crowd singing at the top of their lungs. The band truly knows how to command a show, elevating the energy to exhilarating heights as they concluded their set with the poignant “Diamond & Roses,” before ending the night on a high note with the beautiful “Caroline.”
As the final notes faded, the band was met with rapturous applause from the Glasgow audience. This was merely the first night of their two sold-out shows.
