‘An expansive sonic menagerie of raw emotion, a window on a troubled soul’PROG Magazine

‘Re-invented themselves once more, and they’re peaking again’★★★★ – MOJO

Following their incredible orchestra-accompanied live performance for FM4 with the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, the enigmatic and acclaimed collective, ARCHIVE today announces a brand new deluxe edition of their recently released 13th studio album Glass Minds, along with the album’s focus track of the same name – out via the band’s own Dangervisit label through [PIAS].

With the original release having dropped on 27th February earlier this year, this new expanded version contains all original tracks from the album, along with live recordings from the FM4 session and additional remixes, and arrives off the back of a highly successful album release earlier this year that saw backing from the likes of MOJO, PROG, and Juno Daily.

Discussing the live focus track, founding member Darius Keeler has said, “The song ‘Glass Minds’ felt like a pivotal track on the album as soon as it came along. Lisa’s lyrics and her vocal performance on the track really make me feel like the song has a deep personal meaning for her, which is why I think it connects and resonates with people the way it does.

And the orchestration for the FM4 session version is just stunning, everyone in the control room had goosebumps when we heard it back. It’s just one of those magical songs where everything else in the world seems to stop for a few minutes, and it’s just about the song, I love how music can do that.”

Teaming up with the prestigious ORF Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien, conducted by Gottfried Rabl, for a one-off FM4 Radio Session at Vienna’s historic ORF RadioKulturhaus Großer Sendesaal, the genre-defying collective reimagined their deeply atmospheric, emotionally charged songs with full symphonic arrangements, creating a natural fusion of orchestral grandeur and the band’s cinematic sound. The session was recorded live and broadcast on FM4, with a full concert film released on 5 March 2026 via fm4.orf.at.

Reflecting on the session, Keeler said, “This is what I imagined the album to be. That’s why it’s unique. And I’d never in my wildest dreams thought it would be an orchestra of that size…. Recording this session was so, so epic, the memories will stay with me for a very long time, and the results are just astounding”.

Archive are a South London-based musical collective renowned for their cinematic soundscapes, genre-defying evolution, and uncompromising artistic vision. Formed in 1994 by Darius Keeler and Danny Griffiths—former members of pioneering drum & bass group Genaside II—the band debuted with the critically acclaimed Londinium in 1996, blending trip-hop, rap, and orchestral textures.

Over the next two decades, Archive became known for reinventing their sound with each album, incorporating elements of progressive rock, electronica, soul, and post-rock. From the lush melodies of Take My Head (1999) to the epic scope of You All Look the Same to Me (2002)—featuring the 16-minute standout track ‘Again’ —their music grew increasingly ambitious.

Following widespread success in France and Europe, Archive composed the soundtrack to Luc Besson’s Michel Vaillant, and cemented their reputation with Noise (2004), which propelled them to stardom across the continent. After shifting to a flexible, collective lineup, they released Lights (2006) and the politically charged Controlling Crowds series (2009), showcasing their lyrical depth and genre versatility.

Their later works—With Us Until You’re Dead (2012), Axiom (2014), Restriction (2015), and The False Foundation (2016)—pushed creative boundaries further, with Axiom even spawning a dystopian film premiered at Sundance London.

Archive’s immersive live shows highlight their commitment to innovation. With over 25 years of fearless experimentation, Archive continues to evolve, producing music that resonates emotionally and intellectually with a devoted international fan base.

Archive are: Darius Keeler (Piano / Keyboards), Danny Griffiths (Keyboards), Dave Pen (Vocals / Guitar), Pollard Berrier (Vocals / Guitar), Lisa Mottram (Vocals) & Jimmy Collins (Vocals)
