Ryan Bingham has released a new recording of ‘The Weary Kind’, the song originally written for the 2009 award-winning film, ‘Crazy Heart’. Tying in with the 10th anniversary of the film, the new, stripped down version of ‘The Weary Kind’ will be featured prominently in the season finale of Yellowstone. Ryan’s latest album ‘American Love Song’ is out now and he’ll head out on tour with The Milk Cartoon Kids for their UK and Ireland tour. He’ll also play Celtic Connections 2020.
‘The Weary Kind’ won a Grammy award for ‘Best Song Written for a Motion Picture’ as well as the Golden Globe and Academy Awards for Best Original Song. The stripped back version of the song features Ryan and his trusted guitar, the simple combination intensifying the beauty and sadness of the country sound.

Bingham’s first new LP in four years, ‘American Love Song’, finds one of American Music’s most distinct voices, honing in on both the personal and the cultural. Received rapturously by fans and media alike, The Times depicted the album as shining with “irrepressible spirit”, whilst The Sun labelled it as “powerful stuff” and Uncut defining the LP as “his most ambitious yet”.
