NEW SINGLE : James Bay – New single Give Me The Reason out now ahead of Glasgow and Aberdeen shows in May

Today, BRIT Award-winning and three-time GRAMMY® Award-nominated multi-platinum singer, songwriter, guitarist and producer, James Bay returns with a brand-new single entitled “Give Me The Reason” via EMI/Republic Records.

On the new single and music video Bay said: “I wanted this song to feel huge and emotional. It’s about that moment when you feel like the sun is beginning to set on a relationship, it’s about the fight to stay together. I want it to explode with energy when I play it live. It’s about feeling your heart beat fast and love racing through your veins.”

Bay opens “Give Me The Reason” with soaring vocals and draws listeners in with his profound signature lyrics. The new song was recorded at both Blackbird studios in Nashville and in London with producer Gabe Simon [Lana Del Rey ] and co-written with Foy Vance and features Ian Fitchuk [Kacey Musgraves, Karen Elson, Bret Eldridge) on drums.

The track is the first song off Bay’s new album due out later this year which he teased on his recent sold-out “New Songs New Stories” UK Tour, in support of Independent Venue Week.
