Producer MODEL 86’s new single ‘DREAM’ is a masterclass in ambient electronica, its chopped vocals floating over hypnotic synths and a pulsating bassline. A rich array of influences ranging from Nils Frahm to Jamie XX to Ryoji Ikeda contribute to a fluid, shapeshifting sound that has won him praise from tastemakers at BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, 6music, XLR8R, NME and Nowness. ‘DREAM’ is the first taste of MODEL 86’s upcoming release: It’s a Post-Sex, Post-Nation, Post-Genre, Same Day Delivery Post Future and I Love It, due in 2020.
