The news also comes as the band announce a new release date for their second album ‘City Of Sin’: 29th May 2020. Moved back from its original release date of 17th April, the album will be released via the Universal Music Group.
Looking on the brightside, frontman Michael Rack AKA Dutty Moonshine says:
“Here we are with the rescheduled tour dates, we won’t be beaten! It was paramount for us to make sure that the public and our fans are safe in these unprecedented times so moving the tour had to be done. At least doing it this way round you will have had a chance to get learning the words for the new album thats now released on the 29th May. We can’t wait for you all to see the show live. See you soon!”
Dutty Moonshine Big Band is the brainchild of Michael Rack, a successful DJ who’s toured 4 continents and entertained thousands upon thousands with his take on 1930’s sounds meets dirty bass music. 5 years of Dutty Moonshine Big Band has seen the 12-piece grow year after year into an unstoppable dance floor monster, never failing to pack venues and fill up the UK’s biggest festival arenas.
Blending brass, keys, drums, digital hardware and vocalists, Dutty Moonshine Big Band are renowned for their ability to create explosive bass music that is inspired-by the classic big band sound of days gone by. On their sophomore album, ‘City Of Sin’, the outlaw outfit hone their craft and deliver 11 tracks designed to take the listener on a uniquely multi-genre, bass-heavy, dancefloor-destroying journey. Rifling through an eclectic array of sounds and genres,‘City Of Sin’ continues the band’s semi-fictional narrative in telling the tale of a gang of 1930s moonshine bootleggers as they make their way to the top of the gangster food-chain. All eyes are on the album charts as they strive to get ‘City Of Sin’ into the official Top 40 and aim to make their mark in the mainstream with their unique and underground sound.
Impressing at major festivals such as Wilderness, Beatherder, Glastonbury and Valleyfest last year, Dutty and co. are raring to hit the road again later in 2020 and will be flaunting a brand new stage show, loaded with bags upon bags of new and unheard bass driven treats. Don’t miss out….
