Due to demand an extra four dates and another 4,000 tickets will go onsale for ‘the people’s songwriter’, Jamie Webster’s rescheduled and upgraded UK & Ireland Tour, which will now take in 13 towns and cities nationwide, kicking off in February 2021. The feted Liverpool singer, renowned for his arrow-sharp takes on modern and working-class life aims to soothe fans’ frustrations after COVID-19 put paid to a run of autumn dates by going even bigger in the year to come.
Having previously SOLD-OUT his hometown show at Liverpool’s O2 Academy in quick time, the move to the 2,300 capacity Guild at the University of Liverpool not only offers more fans the chance to access the celebratory show, but demonstrates the unassailable growth of the artist himself. Similar upgrades, swapping a SOLD-OUT King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow for the city’s St Lukes, echoes the nationwide hunger to see, hear and join in the songs of a singer who shoots from the hip and heart.
With some dates being rescheduled, meaning original tickets for shows in each location remain valid, the full list of upcoming Jamie Webster tour dates, including the newly announced Spring UK & Ireland 2021 dates are as follows:

Webster’s spirited live shows are famed for their electric, festival-like atmospheres with an energetic camaraderie between performer and audience crackling at close quarters. Completed by a full band, Webster now counts as comrades Lightning Seeds members Jim Sharrock (drums) and Tim Cunningham (bass) alongside Danny Murphy (guitars), who also backs Mick Head as a member of his Red Elastic Band.
Listed by the Liverpool Echo journalists as the 11th most influential person shaping the city’s modern culture in their 2020 Power List, Webster’s sights have been firmly trained on the rest of the UK and beyond, with his last, sell out tour in February 2020 taking in both Dublin and London.
A run of popular singles, including fan favourites ‘Living For Yesterday’ and ‘Weekend In Paradise’ have supercharged the 26-year old ex-electrician’s popularity ahead of the release of his debut album, We Get By, on Fri 21 August 2020 via Modern Sky. With lyrics rooted in Webster’s own working-class upbringing and personal experiences, the ex-electrician sings the hopes of anyone who still dreams of a better tomorrow.
Webster originally grew in renown for providing new soundtracks to Liverpool Football Club’s rising fortunes, playing to 60,000 fans attending the 2019 Champions League Final in Madrid and performing around the world, as far afield as Australia and Dubai.
