RM Hubbert  The 13th Note Cafe 29/07/2010

RM Hubbert brought mild-manners and hush to a packed 13th Note basement on Thursday night.

With an obvious passion for playing guitar and enamour for music, RM Hubbert let the music do the talking, literally. An acoustics performer telling stories through strumming and chords, no words (or singing) required.

In theory, it doesn't work. However, RM brought a welcome break from hurly burly modern life - unemployment, drug abuse, stabbings, poor football results and the credit crunch - and managed to silence a rowdy audience for a 40 minute set - so much so that drinks orders where whispered!

RM Hubbert is a born storyteller - and he pulls it off without saying a single word. Now, that's talent.
