ALBUM REVIEW : Baby Chaos – This is the Moment – Live 2015-2019

Baby Chaos – This is the Moment – Live 2015-2019

The perfect album as we start to come out of the restrictions of lockdown, reliving what a live music concert experience is. The album is a fan base double album capturing the band live at three venues, stitching it together to recreate the perfect set list of fans favorites and the hits, capturing all the emotion of a live show, the band interacting with the audience.

The album features songs from Baby Chaos four albums performed live in three venues, opening with “She’s in Pain” from the bands 1996 album “Love Your Self Abuse”, capturing the band in its raw and creating the perfect opening for the album. “Blackbirds” from the “Skulls Skulls Skulls  Show Me The Glory“album, highlights the depth of vocals that Chris Gordon can produce, taking this track to new heights places you back in the venue, feeling the emotion, passion and atmosphere, where we all want to be, this album takes us close to being back there.

The album captures the bands career from “Safe Sex, and Designer Drugs and the Death of Rock n’ Roll” of the bands first two albums featuring “Go To Hell”, “Sperm”, “Pink” and “Rearrange You” to name a few, giving depth to the album, forming a great introduction to the music of Baby Chaos to new fans. The older songs just fit so well with the last two albums “Skulls, Skulls, skulls Show Me The Glory” and the most recent “Ape Confronts Cosmos” featuring “The Whispering of Giants”, “P P P Peaches”, “Risk and Writhing”, “Habibi”, “Out of the Blue”, “You Won You Won”, and “Run Towards the Roar”.

The album is well produced from the live soundboard over the three venues at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire, Epinal’s La Souris Verte and Glasgow’s Oran Mor, recorded in three different countries, three different years shows the bands development over the years, the way their music and song writing skills has matured. This album comes at the right time, with no live music for over a year, it gives you goosebumps to think of people enjoying live music in the flesh, and this double album gives us a taste of what is to come, what the future holds for music lovers everywhere.

The album comes in both vinyl and CD with beautiful covers, picture disc double vinyl in gatefold sleeve provides a stunning product and a great feature in any music fans collection, available only from Baby Chaos website, due out mid April for advance orders.
